CAIS and BNY Mellon’s Pershing expand collaboration to provide advisors access to a large selection of alts funds with no custody or transaction fees. The new joint offering is called the CAIS Alts Experience through BNY Mellon’s Pershing.

KnowledgeNet.ai has announced 3 new updates to its platform. The new updates include: customizable AI prompts, new search features and faster LinkedIn syncing.

Fintent has introduced The M&A Signal, a feature that allows you to customize the signal based on the types of companies (size, industry, business type) you’re looking to acquire. The M&A Signal is based on what employees of companies are researching on the B2B web and Fintent can now customize the topics for the signal based on ideal target profile and feedback.

Sourcescrub has introduced a new and improved homepage. The new homepage provides a single point of entry and consolidated view for recent and important tasks, making it easy to refocus and pick up right where you left off. Key features of the new homepage include: saved searches with any new companies that meet search criteria, tagged companies with recent activity, biggest upcoming conferences within preferred industries, custom research statuses and updates, notifications for list downloads and URL errors.

AlphaSense has introduced a revamped dashboard experience that facilitates customized tracking of key events, along with simplified navigation to the underlying source documents. AlphaSense has also integrated generative AI capabilities into the dashboards, allowing for the automatic generation of smart topic summaries and instant highlights of earnings results across companies within a specific industry.

Atfinity has a new blog post, which showcases 10 new features on its platform. These features, which are discussed in more detail. are as follows: Child / Parent Relationship, Variables in RuLa, Comment Improvements, Case Tags, Meta Documents, In-App Notifications, More Document Upload Options, Custom Text Assets, Proof Previews and Assignee Rules.

CEPRES has partnered with Solactive AG to develop the new Solactive CEPRES US Private Equity Industry Replicator Index. This new Index provides return exposure to the return profile of buyout funds focused on North America. Its returns are designed to match the distribution of net asset value for private equity investments (at a deal/portfolio company level) on a continuously-updated basis. This performance is replicated using the Solactive GBS United States 500 Index, which tracks the largest 500 companies in the US stock market.

SS&C ALPS Advisors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SS&C Technologies, has partnered with Smith Capital Investors to launch the ALPS | Smith Core Plus Bond ETF, an active, fixed income ETF. In partnering with Smith Capital Investors, SS&C ALPS Advisors recognized an opportunity to provide an actively managed fixed income ETF with a focus on risk-adjusted returns and preservation of capital.

Tactyc has announced a couple new features to its platform. The first is a new functionality update whereby it's now easier to update quantitative KPIs in the KPI Manager with a new Bulk Update KPIs option. This new view creates an editable grid of all quantitative KPIs and enables you to edit KPIs from multiple companies from a single view. You can access this feature from the Bulk Imports & Updates option under the KPI Manager. Tactyc has also revealed a new portfolio visualizer feature on its platform called Multi-Axis Analysis. This is a flexible chart building module to create custom portfolio performance charts by tracking any performance metric on a multi-axis chart. You can select from more than 65 performance metrics available for each portfolio company. The Multi-Axis Analysis supports adding up to 4 performance metrics on primary or secondary axes to create your own custom visuals on portfolio performance.

SimilarWeb has launched Scaling Up, a podcast by Similarweb that discusses the challenges of scaling a business, a team, and one's personal skill set. The podcast covers personal development, team building, motivation, and all things related to management and leadership.

WealthBlock has announced a new update to its platform. When viewing Platform Documents, you can now filter for documents signed for a specific offer.

Flow has launched "white-labeling" on its platform. This new release allows private investment firms to create custom-branded portals for their limited partners, ensuring a consistent brand experience across every investor touchpoint.

Bipsync has introduced Universal Search. With Universal Search, every piece of data from keywords and entity tags to contacts, files, tasks, events, and comments, will be more easily searchable within Bipsync.

DealsPlus has released its new waterfall distribution model tailored for private equity investment structures. Some key features include: 1) The ability to link waterfall distribution terms with up-to-date cap table data. 2) Value portfolio equity plans for past, present, or future date. 3) Trace through multi-level legal entity stack to value each external shareholding anywhere in the legal entity stack.

PARTNERSHIPS & INTEGRATIONS

Hakkoda, a data consultancy firm, has announced a strategic partnership with FactSet. FactSet will pair its own integrated content with Hakkoda’s SnowPro certified teams to build custom solutions in Hakkoda's Snowflake Data Cloud.

Charles River Development has announced a collaboration with S&P Global Market Intelligence that will enable firms to automate and streamline primary issuance workflows in the Charles River Investment Management Solution. Charles River’s interface to InvestorAccess, S&P Global Market Intelligence’s digital primary market platform, provides a seamless workflow that allows firms to create and manage orders in a centralized location, access updated deal information, register interest, and indicate order allocations. These capabilities help firms increase efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance access to liquidity.

Quantium has partnered with Microsoft Azure to build software suite for fund/portfolio management, and investor relationship management. Quantium built its solution on Microsoft Azure, using the cloud for both running processes and storing data. Since Quantium has migrated to Microsoft Azure’s platform, its clients have time to focus on quality analysis while significantly minimizing manual tasks.

NEW CLIENTS

Morgan Stanley Investment Management adopts +SUBSCRIBE mobilizing digital investor onboarding for alternative investment offerings. +SUBSCRIBE was chosen as part of the firm’s initiative to digitally transform, and further enhance the customer experience when onboarding investors, processing subscription documents, and reporting on their suite of alternative investment products.

Beringer Capital has selected DealCloud to strengthen its pipeline and relationship management capabilities. DealCloud will allow Beringer Capital to efficiently centralize data, optimize reporting, manage its pipeline, and foster stronger relationships with LPs, bankers, lenders, and other key stakeholders.

Baillie Gifford has chosen Assette software to automate their client presentations and pitchbooks. Assette software was selected to replace parts of the firm's in-house system because of its broad feature set and flexible approach to data.

Position Green has welcomed Transtema as a new client. Transtema is one of Position Green's newest Supplier Assessment and Sustainability Reporting software users.

CentarRise Partners, a Dominican Republic based asset and wealth management firm, has chosen PE Front Office to manage its Alternative Investment Process.

Broadridge has announced that its cloud-based solution, Sentry, has been implemented at global investment firm Carlyle in support of its private credit and collateralized loan obligation (CLO) portfolio management. The Sentry private credit and CLO portfolio management technology will enable Carlyle to more efficiently manage its deal pipeline, trade compliance and loan operations on a single platform, and scale operations as the platform grows.

HIRING & PERSONNEL

IQ-EQ has appointed David Giannone as its new Chief Commercial Officer for the Americas region. Giannone brings over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry, with specialisms in private capital, offshore structures and business development. He joined the firm’s US Business Development team as a senior managing director early in 2023, having previously spent nine years with RBC Investor and Treasury Services.

Olivier Schlatter has joined Alkymi as a Senior Solutions Engineer. Most recently, Schlatter was a Senior Sales Engineer at Beacon Platform.

Brian Duddy is now a Senior Sales Director at Dasseti. Prior to Dasseti, Duddy was Head of Business Development at Assette.

Tom Donohue has started a new position as Client Project Manager at Canoe Intelligence. Prior to joining Canoe, Donohue was a Project Manager at Thought Industries.

SEI appoints David Hinton as COO of SEI Investments (Europe). Hinton will report to CEO Jim London and will be responsible for managing SEI's operations, technology, and the delivery of services. Hinton, with over 15 years' experience in financial services, was most recently Deputy COO for FNZ Group, where he was responsible for managing strategic platform operations.

Megan Big has joined PFA Solutions as a Business Intelligence Analyst. Big previously spent 6 years at an auto insurance company.

Jean-Philippe Gireaud has joined Klee Capital Venture as its Head of Business Development. With this new addition, Klee aims to position its offering in the European market. Most recently, Gireaud was a Non Exec Sales Advisor at DealFabric.

Luke Croft has joined OneTrust as a Strategic Cloud Specialist, Data Governance. Most recently, Croft was Sales Director, EMEA at a security company.

Angela Liotta has joined 73 Strings as its Head of People. Most recently Liotta was Global Head of Learning & Organizational Development at Kroll.

Andrew Parsons has joined AlphaSense as its Director, Revenue Operations. Most recently, Parsons was Head of Commercial Solutions at S&P Global.

VENDOR WHITEPAPERS

Moonfare has released a new blog, "What’s fuelling the rise of secondaries in private equity?" One key takeaway from this piece is that although secondary transaction volumes dipped in the first half of 2023, industry experts expect a strong rebound until the end of the year as pricing stabilises further.

Maestro has published a couple of new blogs. The first is: "How Trust, Flexibility and Embracing New Approaches can help CEOs Adapt to PE Ownership". In this piece, Maestro discusses the changes and challenges CEOs typically face in the transition to PE ownership and the approaches that can aid in easing the adjustment, enabling the company to reap the full benefits of PE investment. Maestros other blog is called, "A Glimpse into 2024: Our Predictions". Maestro believes that continued uncertainty in the private equity markets, delayed exits, and a general lack of confidence in the economy will further increase reliance on strategic and structured value creation. At the same time, the pressure to identify new growth opportunities and revenue streams will compel PE-backed companies and sponsors to go ahead despite external challenges. In this blog post, Maestro predicts what 2024 will look like.

DealCloud has a new post, "From Analyst to MD: How Investment Banks Are Aligning Their Technology Needs With Team Needs". In this article, DealCloud discusses the key goals investment banking firms should have for their team, based on the seniority level of the banker.

CB Insights has a new post, "The future of big tech in 10 charts". CB Insights states that big tech has grown revenue at a breakneck pace for years. But their size, plus intensifying competition and the generative AI boom, is pressuring tech giants to find new growth avenues.

SS&C Technologies has published a new blog, "‘Getting Time Back’ and More: The Power of Outsourcing for Dealmakers". SS&C feels that with numerous stakeholders to appease, and risk at every turn, deals are more challenging than ever. Outsourcing can help deal teams better focus time and resources. In this blog SS&C discusses which tasks to offload and what to look for in a managed service provider.

Cambridge Associates has a new blog, "Is All Growth Investing “Growth Equity”? Cambridge Associates says 'no' and in this piece they discuss why they feel that way. For example, in recent years many private investment fund managers (GPs) have painted themselves with a growth equity brush. LPs need to be increasingly diligent to determine if they are accessing the truly differentiated and attractive investment profile offered by actual growth equity.

Mend.io has released a new blog, "What New Security Threats Arise from The Boom in AI and LLMs? Some considerations outlined in this piece include: data privacy and leakage, misinformation and propaganda and dependency on external resources.

DiligenceVault has a new whitepaper, "Quantifying the Value of Operational Due Diligence (ODD)". In this paper we also touch on how ODD teams are structured – from internal teams, to outsourced and co-sourced ODD teams. Questions this whitepaper answers include, what are key operational risk related losses? And wow has operational due diligence mandate expanded?

Katipult has released a new blog, "Cross-Border Deal-Making: Challenges and Solutions for Broker-Dealers". In this article, Katipult delves into the critical considerations for broker-dealers venturing into US/Canada new issue deals.

Qashqade has published a new article, "Why fund waterfall and carry calculations need to be automated". Qashqade feels that while many solutions promise to be “end-to-end" and “enterprise” they are often actually point solutions and become part of a tech stack. And so, while private market organizations question whether to build or buy, it’s worth considering which highly specialized parts of a business process should be automated by experts who offer the best solutions.

CAIS has been announced as the winner of the "Best RIA Platform" at the SPi Awards for Excellence 2023. These awards are for the USA structured products industry and recognizes those from across the profession that strive for greatness, deliver innovation and make the biggest impact.

RegTech Analyst has announced the list of firms who made the The RegTech100 list, which is a celebration of the most innovative companies transforming the regulatory technology landscape. Companies from our Vendor Profiles database who made the list include: Cygnetise, S&P Global Market Intelligence and Diligent.

FactSet has been named "Best Findability of Products in DevPortal" at the DevPortal Awards 2023. These awards recognize innovative leaders and their developer portals in the API and interface space.
