NEW & UPDATED PRODUCTS

Attio has announced a couple new updates on its platform. The first is a complete overhaul of its API docs, with detailed technical guides for 15+ attribute types and all standard objects. Users can now experiment and run API requests directly from the docs. The second update is a new integrations portal, located in the workspace settings. In the portal you can view the integrations you’re connected to and discover new ones and easily search by category or name to find exactly what you need.

Addepar has announced two new product updates on its platform. The first update allows you to set up Addepar to automatically share scheduled and manually-run reports to the Client Portal and notify contacts of shared reports according to every contact’s preference. You can also see which portfolios have a PDF shared in the Portal on the report’s new Published status tab. The second update is two new attributes that are available in Calculations. Uses Average Cost calculates net average cost for positions and minimizes cost basis issues from international data feeds, while Cost Basis Source shows the method used to determine a position’s cost basis.

DEAL ACTIVITY

Robin AI has raised $26 million in a Series B funding round. This funding round is led by Temasek Holdings, a global investment company headquartered in Singapore. Other investors include QuantumLight, Plural and AFG Partners. The funding will allow for global expansion, including growth in America and Asia. The investment will also be used to expand its existing team of AI and machine learning experts.

MSCI has announced that it has completed its acquisition of Fabric, a wealth technology platform specializing in portfolio design, customization, and analytics for wealth managers and advisors. The acquisition was originally announced on December 20, 2023.

Mend.io has announced its acquisition of Atom Security, a startup offering a risk-based approach to container image vulnerability prioritization. By combining Atom’s container-level reachability with Mend.io’s application-level reachability analysis, Mend.io allows security and development teams to prioritize detected vulnerabilities based on reachability at both the application and container level.

NEW CLIENTS

Position Green has announced the addition of five new clients to its company. Position Green has welcomed Arjun Infrastructure Partners, Kenmare Resources Plc, Polykemi AB, and Scandinavian Photo to the Position Green community.

Baillie Gifford has chosen Assette software to turn investment data into content (client presentations and sales pitchbooks). Assette software was selected to replace parts of the firm's in-house system because of its broad feature set and flexible approach to data.

Prospera, a broker dealer based out of Dallas, recently selected SS&C's Black Diamond Wealth Platform, which will be available to all advisors in April 2024. The Black Diamond platform unites portfolio management and comprehensive reporting with the client experience integrating seamlessly with fintech solutions. The platform features a client portal through a mobile and desktop app. Advisors have the option to utilize Prospera's existing branded app or choose to brand their own.

Vitech Systems Group has announced that the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades (IUPAT) Industry Pension Fund’s strategic decision to adopt V3locity, Vitech’s cloud-native administration, engagement, and analytics platform. IUPAT will gain access to V3locity’s API library, enabling seamless integration with the union system and facilitating real-time exchange of information.

HIRING & PERSONNEL

Anand Sanwal is stepping down as CEO of CB Insights. Sanwal will be staying on at Cb Insights, but with the roles of Founder & Executive Chairman. A new CEO will be announced imminently.

Anaplan has appointed Jim Freeze to the position of Chief Marketing Officer, where will join Anaplan’s Executive Committee and report to the company’s CEO, Charlie Gottdiener. Freeze brings more than 25 years in revenue-focused executive leadership roles for SaaS, AI, security, and telecom companies.

Kroll has appointed Andrew Poole as a new Director. Based in London, Poole will focus on alternative investment strategies and compliance with private equity and credit firms. Most recently, Poole spent 5 years at ACA Group as a Director, where he specialised in relationship management, compliance and tax in the private markets industry.

Kelvin Yu has been promoted within at AlphaSense and is now Manager of Private Equity Practice. Yu has been with AlphaSense since 2021 and was previously an associate.

Alkymi has announced that Priscilla Marshall Lukens has joined the company as a Strategic Accounts Director. Most recently Lukens worked in sales at dv01.

Gautam Naidu has been named the new Chief Revenue Officer at Decimal Point Analytics. Most recently, Naidu was a Sr. Vice President - Business Development at Talentica Software.

Chronograph recently announced two new key hires. Fred Bower is the new Head of Marketing. Bower returns to Chronograph after completing an MBA at Columbia Business School and working across venture capital and growth equity. Bower was part of the founding team at Chronograph and previously led the firm’s growth team. Additionally, John Hatcher has joined the company as Director of Engineering. Most recently, Hatcher was at the edtech company Teachers Pay Teachers.

SS&C has another new blog, "10 Reasons to Integrate Financial Risk and Performance Reporting". SS&C states that an integrated approach to financial risk reporting and performance reporting is crucial for asset managers to make informed decisions, comply with regulations, allocate resources efficiently and maintain the trust of stakeholders.

Dasseti has posted a new article, "AI will drive efficiencies for asset managers and allocators". In this article, Dasseti explains how AI can be used as a powerful tool within the investment management industry. Dasseti sees 3 main drivers: Efficiencies and productivity, Instant insights on your data and Co-pilot, which are all discussed in more detail.

Datasite has posted a new blog, "DealTech: Deal-Prep Platforms Moderately Bullish on New Year Deal Activity – VDR Insight". In this piece, Datasite explains why providers of VDRs are taking a moderately bullish stance on deal activity in 2024. Tighter financing costs, market volatility and the long-term impact of COVID have kept announced activity down in 2023, but things are looking better for 2024.
